In the 3rd year of instrument making and in the restoration year, students must do an internships in a professional workshop.

In consultation with the teacher, the student seeks an internship with an established builder or restorer. Museums can also provide suitable internships.

The duration of this internship varies from 2 to 3 weeks. The contacts and experiences that the student experiences through this path are very important.

ILSA aims to train quality violin and guitar builders and this is not possible to achieve without the students realizing about the reality of the profession. That is why this extra restoration year is very important combined with the external internships with renowned luthiers, it is an ideal base in the path to become a master builder.
