Since 1997 she has been working as an independent guitar builder in her workshop in Mortsel. In 2009 she was a laureate of the Belgian competition 'Ambacht in de Kijker'.

In addition to her specialization in the contemporary classical guitar, she also builds the other models of the classical guitar family: the 8-string, octave, third and bass guitar.
